In Week 1, players are matched into chamber groups, participating in daily rehearsals and coachings with faculty. Chamber groups explore various works, performing in masterclasses with artist faculty and guest artists.
Throughout the festival, players attend and perform in instrument-specific and chamber masterclasses with world-class faculty and soloists.
In Week 2, festival players rehearse in faculty-led sectionals, take private lessons, and begin rehearsing full-orchestra repertoire for the finale concert with AFA’s featured soloist(s).
The 2027 AFA Summer Festival artist-faculty and guest artists will be announced later this year.
